Have you ever noticed something or heard about something, and then all
of a sudden you seem to be hearing about it/ seeing it everywhere?
It’s funny, but a few weeks ago I had no real interest in polymer
clay. My history with polymer clay has been less than exciting. I
made some really ugly magnets years ago (still on my fridge!), and I
have a pasta machine I bought at a garage sale, but that’s really the
extent of my polymer clay history.
A couple of weeks ago I came across some fascinating how-to polymer clay video on YouTube, and I’ve become re-fascinated ever since.
I am the type of person that thrives on novelty and loves to learn how things work, how to achieve a certain result.
I’m also obsessive. My love of learning plus obsession often leads me to impulsively (compulsively) devour a medium for a period of time. I research, watch online video, search out artists working in that medium, buy specialty magazines, and of course (the most fun of all) I stock up on supplies.

Truth be told, I usually don’t ever get to use a lot of them before the
obsession runs its course (sigh). I could probably stock my own store
with the massive variety of supplies I have.

Anyway,
Later that day, on a totally unrelated bracelet kit research forage, I came across something wonderful.

Isn’t this gorgeous? I love it.
The artist, Heather Powers of Humble Beads creates gorgeous polymer clay beads. A definite must visit site.
Sometimes the talent of people is just so amazing.
I have a quick little confession (I know my husband never reads my blog so I can write freely). I went and bought a bunch of polymer clay related stuff. I bought some diluent to soften up my old stash of polymer clay, some new KatoClay, a small food processor from Walmart, a tissue blade, and some Sculpey as well. Oh- and some Lazertrans transfers too.
I’m very very excited.
